I had a date last night, that almost tanked its self before it even began. I told the girl to meet me at the Velvet Olive, which for some reason I always think is:

1. Still open
2. The Bitter End

So, I show up at the Bitter End about 7:30 and realize like I have in the past that this place is called the Bitter End. Quickly, I open my Blackberry up to my gmail account and check the location I gave to her, oh course, I told her the Olive eep!

Nice way to start the day!

So, I'm sure this story will aim to please, maybe you'll laugh with me, but more then likely you'll laugh at me ;).

So, guess what I did Wednesday night, Speed Dating and it was a riot. Alot more fun then I expected. 18 'dates' at 5 minutes a piece with a 10 minute break at about the half way point.

So let me dispel some myths first. basically the ones I went in with.

1. The chics were good looking, intelligent, well educated. Really I said to myself a couple times, wtf are these chics doing here.

2. It was relaxed and fun and the conversations were easy. Well, one chic was trying as hell, but 5 minutes later she was just a shitty memory :).

Wow, so I changed quite a bit tech wise that is. First, I got myself a Blackberry 7100t. Works very well, errr well it crashed pretty bad on me tonight when I was screwing around with SSH. I had to pop the SIM card out and then put it back in to clear the craziness.

Second I switched email providers. Joedunn.com is run off a colo in Cali, I think. Now email is pretty important to me, so I figured I'd try something more stable. What's more stable then joedunn.com, well I'm glad you asked. It's Google, I got accepted into the beta for Google's hosted email service. Even has a catch all and custom logo's.
