New ESXi Server

Had some spare parts lying around and decided while I have one ESXi server, two is always better. Went to Microcenter and picked up a inexpensive case (30 dollars out the door). Cabled up the motherboard correctly on first try (I never do this) and voila!

New ESXi server

With PFSense making DNS nice and easy with the network and Synology as my NFS VMstore activating the virtual machines on the new hardware was a snap. Now I need to get me a VMug subscription.

Parts List:

Case: NZXT Source 210
Power Supply: Corsair TX650W
RAM: Kingston HyperX FURY 16GB Kit
ESXi Boot Drive: SanDisk Ultra Fit (32GB)
Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-78LMT-S2P
CPU: AMD FX-4100 Zambezi Quad-Core 3.6GHz
NIC: Intel Gigabit CT PCI-E Network Adapter EXPI9301CTBLK

Stock CPU cooler. Found some more 120MM fans which I tossed in so they would have a home.

Previous ESXi box part listed and picture is here. The thing is still going somehow. Its been through 2 power supplies...
